The Grounds

2nd Hellesdon Scout Group is situated in the heart of Hellesdon which is a suburb of Norwich. The headquarters is set in over 3 acres of grounds with two activities fields / camping areas and a third, lightly wooded area.

The grounds are surrounded by trees and fencing and therefore provide a secure camping area with sufficient space for 70+ under canvas and still leave enough space for outdoor activities.

As well as the grounds there is a headquarters building which is included in the camping fees. The building provides an activities hall, kitchen, side rooms and modern toilets and showers.

As well as the actual grounds and building being available for camping it is possible to arrange for a number of adventurous activities to be provided to form part of your camping activities. The Group has a purpose built rifle range, abseil / climbing tower and Archery range. These can be hired with or without equipment and instructors except archery as this can only be offered with our instructors.

We can also offer you a fully equipped campsite using the extensive range of canvass and camping equipment from the Groups own Quartermasters Store.

If you do not want to camp you can still hire our facilities for activity days.
